BIOGRAPHY Born in Konya in 1988, Mr. Azar completed his primary and high school education in the same city. In 2007, he began his medical education at Ege University Faculty of Medicine, graduating in 2013. He furthered his specialization training at Kayseri City Hospital, where he actively participated in the Obesity Surgery Team. Since 2017, Mr. Azar has focused on Bariatric Surgery and has amassed over 3000 cases, becoming a specialist in the field. His areas of expertise include bariatric surgery, advanced laparoscopic surgery, and cancer surgeries. Notably, he holds the distinction of being one of the first surgeons to perform a laparoscopic appendectomy in Turkey. Dr. Ramazan Azar's success extends beyond bariatric surgery, as he has proven his proficiency in laparoscopic surgery, reflux surgery, cancer surgery, and colon and rectum diseases. His contributions have reached the international stage through articles published in The International Federation for the Surgery of Obesity and Metabolic Disorders.
